It doesn’t matter where you start, only where you are headed.
My publisher keeps telling me that I am the all American ‘rags to riches’ story, and as much as I am not totally comfortable with the millionairess title he does have something.
Though the only relevance my beginnings have to you is to show you that it doesn’t matter where you are starting from, it only matters where you are headed.
I am the second child of a typical 40’s Salt Lake City working class family who lived on the wrong side of the tracks. In fact we lived right next to the tracks. Mom was a stay at home mom and my father was a long haul truck driver and later became an interstate bus driver. Money was always an issue and as a little one I often fell asleep to the sound of my parents arguing over money.
However regardless of our poor financial status mom and grandma would always find food or coffee in the cupboard to give to the homeless men who would wander past our front porch.

One of my favorite childhood memories was the moment mom put her home cooked meal into their hands. I could swear there was a glow surrounding them, and it always made me feel so happy. I believe that it is thanks to my mom and grandma that I grew up wanting to help people. I knew we didn’t have much but we had a lot more than they did, and seeing their sad weary faces light up with the knowing that someone cared has stayed with me forever.
High school was not a highlight for me. I never felt like I belonged and I think it was due to the unusual combination of suffering from ADD and Narcolepsy as well as belonging to a different religion to the rest of the school. Consequently I left school at fifteen, started beauty school at sixteen, married at seventeen, became a mom at eighteen and had my second child before I turned twenty–one.
Mine was not the typical millionaire beginning but I didn’t let that stop me. According to popular belief I should be living in a trailer home somewhere with a pretty miserable life and future, and I may have well ended up that way if it were not for a great friend introducing me to network marketing.
I learned through experience and thousands of hours of personal development thanks to network marketing that we have the power to control our destiny and live our dreams. I want you to know and acknowledge that you too have the right to dream and build a wonderful future.
You can get ahead in life if you want it passionately enough & willing to work for it.
I am living an incredible life that I created, and I want you to be able to say the same thing about your life to your friends and family. Beyond the Red Doors is about helping you to understand that you can get ahead in life if you want it passionately enough and are willing to work for it. It also shows you how to get out of your own way and get it done using caring and sharing principals.
The recipe for creating a happy fulfilling life is a mix of fantastic ingredients, any of which will make a life changing difference for you, let alone what you will achieve if you mix them altogether and add a big handful of self belief.
This is your life and even though it may not seem like it at the moment, you have an opportunity to make significant changes for the good of your family, yourself and everyone who comes in contact with you.
How would it feel to know that you are giving life a serious go and that you are teaching your children and grand children that they can create their own lives no matter how humble their beginnings. I can tell you from personal experience that the feelings you will get from inspiring others and seeing their eyes light up when they get it is breathtaking.
